Read, play... and grow
With this video game, children will not only have fun and develop the habit of reading, but they will also acquire self-confidence, discover their talents and integrate competencies that will be key to their lives.
Our personal development methodology includes the main competencies of Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence Model, the CASEL Model (Collaborative Association for Social and Emotional Learning in the USA), as well as competencies from Martin Seligman’s Positive Psychology Model.
BookyPets powers up
- Social-emotional competencies in children, key to well-being, mental health, coexistence, academic/employment performance and future employability in the world of work
- Awareness-raising, prevention and detection of bullying, through readings and dynamics
- The values of coexistence (respect, solidarity, tolerance, etc.), which are essential for training citizens to build a fairer society and a sustainable growth model
- The reading habit and reading competence, essential for any learning in life, access to knowledge, the ability to concentrate, imagination, reflection, the development of critical thinking and autonomy
- Adquisición de vocabulario y dominio del lenguaje, fundamental para la elaboración de pensamientos estructurados y complejos
Personal Growth through Superpowers
- More than 3,500 readings to work on 4 superpowers: Strength, Courage, Action and Connecting with others
- Dynamics for the child to work on each of the superpowers on a daily basis, using them in real life
- New possibilities for customising avatars to make diversity visible
- Daily Mission Statement, which encourages the child to have a purpose, with real goals and challenges that encourage planning, proactivity and decision-making in play
- Variety of content and literary genres in each daily assignment, which will help children broaden their perspective, as well as their ability to understand and communicate their emotions and needs
- Prevention of bullying, creating a climate of empathy and connection between children to avoid violent and exclusionary behaviour in the classroom, on social networks or at home
- Reinforcement of specific skills - related to self-esteem and communication - that enable the children concerned to protect themselves from hostile behaviour and, in parallel, to eventually ask for help from parents and educators, without feeling bad about it
